Guitars

Here are the main guitars I use for recording.

If you’re interested in any remote or live recordings please do get in touch.

335.png

I love this 335! It’s just like Clapton’s. It’s a faithful reissue from the same year as Eric’s (1964). I’ve used it on several recordings from Rock to Blues to Jazz.

Dobro.png

I was fortunate enough to be gifted this by my late Godfather. It was built in 1936! Imagine the stories it could tell. It absolutely is that resonator slide guitar sound.

594.png

The McCarty 594 is everything it’s billed as. A vintage instrument made with modern building techniques. It sounds & feels amazing. The coil splits give a very good single coil sound and the Humbuckers sound like a vintage Les Paul.

Strat.png

This Strat sounds brilliant. The S-1 switching system gives so many more sonic options than most Strats do whilst sounding amazing in all 5 regular positions. The noiseless pickups are incredible too.

Martin.png

This Martin sounds so good for open chords and bluesgrass single note lines. It’s hard work the further up the neck you get but the sound is always big and resonant.

Jazz Bass.png

This is my go to Bass. I use it mainly passively but it has a very good active sound too. I’ve used this Jazz Bass on several records now and it always does the job. Very versatile.
